Assembly of a FR4 Printed Circuit Board (PCB) for the Optical Industry

A printed circuit board was required for inclusion in a CNC tooling inspection system and the manufacturer came to Surmotech because we have the resources and the experience to perform a quality job. Assembly of the high-speed digital PCB involved double-sided surface mount technology, selective soldering, and mechanical assembly. Constructed of FR4, the board specifications included 12 layers; standard, micro, and buried vias; 1,400 placements; and 1 board panelization. Final board measurements were 9 x 4 in. The board was fully tested to ensure that it was equipped to meet the specifications of optical industry.
