  • Electronics Inspector

    Job Description

    The AOI Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment. This position may also be called upon for circuit board touch-up, re-work and repair activities as necessary and as training and experience allow. In-addition, the job includes keeping the SMT lines moving and helping with set-up and tear downs. This position reports to the Production Manager.

    Must be IPC-610 and J-STD-001 certified.

  • Electro-Mechanical Assembler

    Job Description

    The Electro- Mechanical Assembler is responsible for mechanical assembly which involves the use of a wide range of tools, gauges, fixtures and measuring devices. Able to follow instructions both written and verbal with good attention to detail. The Electro – Mechanical Assembler reports to the Production Manager of Surmotech.

    One year of experience preferred.

    ESD awareness.

    Excellent manual dexterity and good hand to eye coordination.

  • SMT / Thru-Hole Solder Operator

    Job Description

    Operators are responsible for hand assembly of printed circuit boards. This position may also involve mechanical assembly, and requires use of a wide range of hand and power tools, electrical or mechanical fixtures, gauges, and standard measuring devices. Operators must be familiar with IPC 610 standards as related to thru-hole and post-wave assembly. Familiarity with SMT assembly and its related fields beneficial. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor and Production Manager.

    Must be IPC-610 and J-STD-001 certified.

  • Final QA Inspector

    Job Description

    The Electronics Inspector must have a complete and thorough understanding of assembly equipment used in the production areas and IPC-610 standards as related to all phases of electronic assembly. This position is responsible for assuring customer assembly requirements are being met through visual inspection efforts. Additionally, Quality Inspectors are responsible for communicating quality issues through Quality Engineering or the Quality Manager when trends are readily apparent. This position reports to the Quality Manager.

    5 years of experience preferred and must be IPC-610 and J-STD-001 certified.

  • Electronic Test Technician

    Job Description

    The Electronic Test Technician is responsible for testing printed circuit boards and electromechanical assemblies. This individual will collect and report data related to the quality of assembly, testing performance and repairs, and will supply information on such to the Quality Manager. The Electronic Test Technician will also perform troubleshooting and repair activities, and will build new and/or enhance existing fixtures to the extent that experience and/or training allow. This position reports to the Production Manager.

    • AAS Degree in electronics or equivalent (appropriate college electronics courses with 1 to 2 years experience in digital and analog circuits.
    • One to two years experience testing and troubleshooting printed circuit boards in a production environment.
    • General knowledge of and hands on experience with various test equipment, including multimeter, oscilloscope, and component programming equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings and bills of material.

  • Program Manager

    Primary Responsibilities:

    The Program Manager serves as the customer advocate and single point of contact for their assigned accounts. The Program Manager takes the lead in coordinating with internal stakeholders all technical, process and material requirements. The Program Manager is tasked with ensuring all products are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Provide interface, communication and coordination with internal and external customers on matters pertaining to existing contracts and bid and proposal activities. In addition, the Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the financial performance of each account meets the targets set by Management.

    Job Requirements:

    • Customer Service/Program Manager Experience: 2 Years Minimum
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in contract manufacturing preferred
    • Experience with Government FARS/DFARS desirable but not required
    • Must be a US Citizen

    Typical Duties:

    • Set up quotes and customer orders in ERP system. Initiate internal team meeting to ensure all customer requirements are understood and executable.
    • Analyze, compare and interpret customer supplied documentation with internal stakeholders and work with customer to resolve any open issues during quote and contract review process.
    • Assure that conduct of contract requirements is executed in accordance with appropriate regulations and Company policies and procedures (i.e.: federal acquisition regulations)
    • Execute material quotation process, as needed, by gathering and analyzing cost data. Use Excel to summarize analyses.
    • Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to obtain labor estimates, test, NRE and other costs.
    • Identify and work to resolve problems that develop, escalating problems encountered to manager in a timely manner when necessary with recommendations for solutions.
    • Review all labor, material and NRE estimates, together with rate structures for each bid. Serve as key member of final bid/quote review team.
